May 20, 2010 - Mike Doty Racing - WKA Manufacturer’s Cup Series MKP Nationals Report
Mike Doty Racing is becoming a household name around the World Karting Association and especially the popular Manufactures Cup Racing Series.
MDR/factory Haase Driver Mike Giessen and fellow Haase chassis pilot Mark Vielgut showed haase chassis’s are fast and showed it with their results in the Parilla Leopard Class. Mike Giessen finished 2nd and Mark Vielgut 4th in the Sunday Parilla leopard final and in the tag final on Saturday Mike Giessen scored another top three finishing 3rd.So after the race weekend the two Haase drivers of Mike Giessen and Patrick Soares are 1 and 2 in points after two races and Mike Giessen is first in tag points.
Leading the MDR Racing team in results in the JR class category was Haase/MDR Driver Brandon Jarsocrak. Brandon had a outstanding weekend with a 5th place finish in the Cadet final 1 and 5th in the Komet Sportsman race. Brandon rounded out an awesome weekend with a 1st place in the Yamaha Sportsman Heavy Class. Jarsocrak is a threat on the Manufactures Cup circuit and one to look out for at future WKA Events
Mike Doty Racing also showed well with drivers Ryan Raffia, Austin Self, and Jeff Jewell. Ryan Raffia and his Woljter powered cadet kart crossed the line 2nd in Cadet Final 1 and 5th in Komet Sportsman. Austin Self took advantage of his MDR tuned Woljter powered kart to a 1st place in Komet JR Heavy Category and 4th in Komet JR Light. Haase driver Jeff Jewell also showed well with a 5th place finish in Yamaha Masters.
